Dear Mr. and Mrs. Akleman,

I was a very close friend of your son for over 3 years. During all that time despite him being away from the U.K. he always kept in touch whilst he was on his travels and in September I was lucky enough to meet up and spend a few days together during my holiday. Postcards which he sent me will always be treasured.

I was deeply moved when I heard of the news. I want to convey my deepest condolances to yourselves and all of your family. I am very sorry I cannot be there when he is laid to rest but I would be very grateful if I knew where his final resting place was, because at some point in time I would like to visit and pay my last respects. He will always be in my thoughts as he was such a good friend.

In deepest respect.

Paul
